Preheat 1-2 inches vegetable oil to 350°F in heavy pan.
In a shallow dish, place Seasoned Flour for coating. In a bowl, make batter by mixing 5 Tbsp. Seasoned Flour, egg, and water in bowl.
Dip veggies in dry Seasoned Flour and shake off excess.
Dip coated pieces in batter. (Tip: Use a toothpick to spear each piece, dip into batter and then place veggie in hot oil.)
Fry coated pieces in hot oil for about 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning if needed. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes: To make this recipe Gluten Free, simply use Kentucky Kernel Gluten Free Seasoned Flour.
Ingredient amounts are approximate. You may also need more or less Seasoned Flour for coating depending on the size of the pieces and amount you are frying.
Try with sliced zucchini, onion rings, eggplant, green beans, cauliflower, mushrooms, or your favorite vegetable.
